The image is a mosaic created from 10 panels combined by 180 single frames, each 2.5 minutes exposed, location Provence, France.
Additionally images from 2016 and 2017 were used to complete the mosaic: 21 single frames (2 panels), each exposed 1.5 minutes (aperture f/2.8), locations Mirador Ilanos del Jable and Roque de los Muchachos, La Palma, Spain. 24 singles frames (4 panels), each exposed 3 minutes (aperture f/3.5), location Paul da Sera, Madeira, Portugal. Each location was more than 1,000 metres above sea level.
Overall more than 9h exposure time.
